Editing a Template

How to customize and take advantage of Slidebean templates

Updated over a week ago

Templates are pre-built presentations, professionally designed for specific topics. Editing them should be as simple as replacing placeholders with your content and then customizing the design with just a few clicks.

When creating a new presentation from your account dashboard,  select "Use a template" to be able to browse the gallery. You'll find the different categories and can click on any Template to first preview the slides.

Once you choose a template, you'll get to the presentation editor. Note that your slides have two views: Outline and Design.

The Outline will help you focus on the content, keeping a clear summary of the info in a plain view of the slides. You'll find empty states offering guidelines and for you just to replace them with your own information.

The Design Editor lets you easily customize the look and create compelling layouts.

To edit a content block, just click on it to get its editing options. Different actions can be taken in the Outline and Design editors. To delete unwanted elements from the template, just click on the element and look for the trash Bin icon. This can be done from the Outline and the Design editor.

To Delete or Duplicate a slide from the Template, look for the arrow next to it, on the Sidebar. To move a slide up or down, drag and drop it where wanted:

Pro tip: focus on your content and generate the slides Outline first. Then move to the Design editor and find out how fast the Slidebean's magic can help you create beautiful slides 🔮
